In 2005 Rev Rachel Mash and Roselyn Kareithi conducted research into the sexual activity of Anglican Youth in the Diocese of Capetown, aged 12-19. The results were disturbing, indicating high levels of sexual activity (32%), much unprotected sex, and high levels of sexual coercion. The full results are described here:
