Stop Hunger Now Southern Africa (SHN SA) have partnered with the Fikelela AIDS Project to run a campaign during Lent. Lent marks the forty days which Jesus spent fasting in the desert before the beginning of his public ministry. It is traditionally marked by Christians committing to a period of prayer, giving up a luxury or bad habit and giving to the needy.

83 Facilitators and Peer Educators gathered for the end of year event at St Mark's Lavender Hil on the 23rd November 2012. A wonderful celebration and wonderful items presented by various churches

St Mark's District Six task team hosted the annual potjiekos at Crystal House in Ottery. All the proceeds of the fundraiser will go to Fikelela Children's Centre and the Zonnebloem Cottage.

A big thankyou to Genna Epstein and the members of Overbrook Presybterian Church in Pennslyvania USA, who had a charity dinner and raised $1800 for the Fikelela Childrens Centre. Genna volunteered at the centre and say this:
'Your kids changed my life and I hope this will help to change theirs'.

Bishops Prep Brooke House supports the Zonnebloem Cottage on a monthly basis the learners collects groceries & toiletries for our home. Zonnebloem Cottage were the proud reciepients of a brand new lounge suite that was purchased for us by Brooke House.
